By running Biodiesel in your diesel vehicle you can reduce Canada's dependence on foreign oil and the politics that come with it. You can also save money as biodiesel generally costs less than diesel and you don't have to pay carbon tax on it.

Have you changed your fuel filter?

Biodiesel is different from your typical diesel fuel, acting as a solvent for those deposits left by regular diesel.  If you haven't already, we highly recommend changing your fuel filter immediately prior to running Biodiesel to give your fuel system the best chance of surviving the transition unaffected.

Each fuel system will vary, and we recommend a staged approach, working your way up from B20 to B50, and finally B100.  Extra attention should be paid to the performance of your engine during this critical time.  Hesitation can signal a clogged fuel filter, and running an engine lean of fuel is unsafe and hard on the high pressure diesel injection.  Replacing the fuel filter multiple times is cheap insurance to know the build up in your fuel system is properly removed and the engine is running safe.

We are proud member of the Vancouver Biodiesel Co-op, and we can arrange to have any of the vehicles we import prepped with a fuel filter change and filled with biodiesel in any concentration.  We can even help sign you up for a membership.
