Toyota Aristo | JDM Lexus GS
The Toyota Aristo is yet another car we have seen on our shores, but with one very important difference.
Known as the Lexus GS300, the mid-sized sport luxury sedan we received in Canada is motivated by the 3.0L 6Cylinder 2JZ-GE engine making a respectable 226HP. In Japan, they have this car available as the 3.0Q.
The 3.0V, not available in Canada until now, is equipped with the engine of choice for many Toyota Tuners. The 2JZ-GTE, the 3.0L Twin Turbo Inline 6 cylinder powerhouse found in the MKIV Supra rated at "280HP" (the true output is estimated at 315HP) going where it belongs, to the rear wheels.
This engine has been making quadruple digit power figures (that's right, 1000HP+) in the Supra for years.
But this is not just a bruiser straight line sedan, it is a Lexus after all. With available Traction Control and every option you can imagine, the Aristo offers the best balance between a luxury sedan, a sports car, and a reliable daily driver. Because we have this car available in Canada under the GS300 name, and the engine is well supported int he 4th Generation Supra, your Aristo can benefit from the parts support available directly from the factory, as well as a plethora of reasonably priced used parts through auto recyclers. Prefer a 5spd? It's a simple Supra 5spd transmission swap away. Looking for something to set yourself apart from the crowd? VIP is the answer.
The Aristo is built like a Toyota, styled like a Lexus, goes like a Supra, and you can import one for a very reasonable cost.

Toyota Aristo Compliance
Compliance has recently become an issue with all imported vehicles in BC.
Typical Compliance parts required for the Toyota Aristo:
- DOT/SAE Compliant Headlights
- DOT/SAE Compliant Taillights
- Daytime Running Light Module (In stock)
Because the Toyota Aristo was imported into Canada and sold as the Lexus GS300, the headlights and taillights from a USDM GS300 should be easy to find and install. These parts are required to meet the regulations set forth by the CVSE (Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement). Photographic proof of compliance is required prior to registration in BC.
Other Compliance Issues that may arise:
Glass:
All Glass must be properly stamped to meet AS standards accepted by the CVSE. All factory glass available will meet these standards. If any glass has been replaced with an aftermarket piece that has not been properly stamped, it will require replacement to maintain compliance.
Lighting:
Just as with the glass, if any components have been replaced with non compliant aftermarket parts, replacement will be required to meet compliance.
