1990 Mazda Cosmo Type S (Rotary Turbo) Details


This is Mazda's flagship Luxury Sports Coupe, the Cosmo. The high end model uses a 3-Rotor Twin Turbo, but this Cosmo has the familiar 13B Twin Turbo Rotary, producing "280HP". Mated to a silky smooth automatic transmission, cradled by a modern interior, and surrounded by smooth flowing body lines, this car will impress, without anyone even knowing what it is. THe pictures truly do not do this Cosmo justice.

But the cosmo was available for short period and in limited numbers in North America, and shares many parts with the RX-7, giving it an advantage as far as parts and support go for imported vehicles.

If you're looking for something original, stylish, and very capable, this Cosmo is a great choice.
